The European Directive ‘Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment’ (WEEE) was recently introduced. It relates to scrap electrical and electronic equipment and is part of a wider series of EU measures to protect the environment. Naturally Princess fully supports this since we regard it as our duty to preserve the environment.

What is being introduced is a compulsory collection and recycling system for electrical and electronic equipment. The final users of the equipment take their discarded electrical and electronic goods to a recognised collection point. Recycling companies then remove any hazardous materials from the equipment and process the equipment according to the set guidelines. The aim is to reduce the quantity of waste.

In all the countries of the European Union Princess will be participating in the collection system via the local distributor. Discarded items may be left at the store or at the designated collection point, where they will be processed in a responsible manner.
